Organisations are increasingly taking risks in order to remain competitive. Management skills alone are not sufficient to mitigate risk. Rather there is a need for a specialised set of skills especially focused on risk management to ensure that the optimal path is taken for meeting ever changing customer needs without compromising the business health of the organisation. The Diploma of Risk Management is designed to develop and assess competencies of managers and team leaders for dealing with risk within their workplace. This Diploma provides the skills needed as a manager and leader to enable all stakeholders to manage risk positively. This course is designed to equip individuals wih risk management skills across a broad range of industry sectors. This is because risk management is becoming increasingly necessary as organisations restructure and re-engineer their processes to meet rapidly changing market conditions. Participants can include those in roles such as managers, team leaders, supervisors and any individual responsible for ensuring risk is managed successfully. On completing this diploma, participants will have the ability to manage risk for the betterment of both the organisation and its employees. In so doing, they will be able to execute each step in the risk management process smoothly and in a timely fashion by guiding and encouraging team commitment.
